Stable Diffusion WebUI Forge is a platform on top of the Stable Diffusion WebUI (AUTOMATIC1111) interface. It keeps the familiar txt2img and img2img tabs, but manages video memory and speeds up inference, which helps on cards with 6-8 GB of VRAM.

Key features

  • Familiar interface. Tabs, prompts and settings work like in AUTOMATIC1111.
  • Built-in ControlNet and IP-Adapter. Open the "ControlNet Integrated" block on the txt2img or img2img tab; no separate extension is needed.
  • Modern models. SD 1.5, SDXL and Flux, including quantized Flux versions.
  • Forge variants. Stability Matrix offers the original Forge and the Forge Neo branch.

Pricing

Free and open source. A GPU with enough VRAM is required for local generation.

How to install it: step-by-step guide. Models: download and install Stable Diffusion models.

FAQ

Do I need a VPN or proxy to use the service?

It depends on your region. If the service is not available in your country, its site says so; a VPN or proxy is a way around regional limits, but follow the rules of the service and the laws of your country. How to choose a proxy is covered in our guide to proxies for Claude. The easiest check is to open the service site.

Is it safe to share my data with an AI tool?

Do not enter passwords, payment details, personal data or trade secrets. Many services store requests and may use them to train models, especially on free plans. Check the privacy policy and the settings of the service, where training can often be switched off.
