Stability Matrix is a free package manager for Stable Diffusion interfaces, developed by LykosAI. It installs and updates ComfyUI, WebUI Forge, InvokeAI, Fooocus and other packages in one click, and sets up Python, Git and dependencies in isolated environments. That reduces "Torch not found" and version-conflict errors.

Key features

  • One-click packages. Install and switch between ComfyUI, WebUI Forge, AUTOMATIC1111 and Fooocus.
  • Shared model folder. Checkpoints, LoRA and ControlNet models are stored once and available to every installed interface.
  • Model Browser. Search and download models from Civitai and Hugging Face without leaving the app.
  • Launch arguments. Set flags such as --medvram or --xformers for each package.
  • Platforms. Windows, Linux and macOS; the macOS build runs on Apple Silicon only.

Pricing

Free and open source. Models and interfaces are downloaded separately, so you need a GPU with enough VRAM for the models you choose.

See the step-by-step guide: how to install Stable Diffusion with Stability Matrix.

FAQ

Do I need a VPN or proxy to use the service?

It depends on your region. If the service is not available in your country, its site says so; a VPN or proxy is a way around regional limits, but follow the rules of the service and the laws of your country. How to choose a proxy is covered in our guide to proxies for Claude. The easiest check is to open the service site.

Is it safe to share my data with an AI tool?

Do not enter passwords, payment details, personal data or trade secrets. Many services store requests and may use them to train models, especially on free plans. Check the privacy policy and the settings of the service, where training can often be switched off.
