Khanmigo is an AI tutor and teaching assistant from the nonprofit educational organization Khan Academy. Its main difference from ChatGPT is that Khanmigo does not provide ready-made answers; instead, it asks guiding questions and helps students arrive at the solution on their own. It works with materials from the Khan Academy library, including mathematics, natural sciences, humanities, and programming.

Availability: the paid version for students and families is available only to US residents over 18 with a US billing address. The free version for teachers is available only to educators from the countries listed on the Khan Academy website.

FAQ

Do I need a VPN to use the service?

It depends on your region. If the service is not available in your country, its site says so; a VPN is a way around regional limits, but follow the rules of the service and the laws of your country. The easiest check is to open the service site.

Is it safe to share my data with an AI tool?

Do not enter passwords, payment details, personal data or trade secrets. Many services store requests and may use them to train models, especially on free plans. Check the privacy policy and the settings of the service, where training can often be switched off.
